The core idea of Feng Shui is the harmony between man and nature.
The original meaning of Feng Shui is: the knowledge of choosing the right place. That is, Feng Shui actually existed as an early Chinese geography.
In ancient times, Feng Shui had very important guiding significance for the site selection, orientation and construction of palaces, residences, villages and cemeteries.
15 Feng Shui Principles that Cannot be Violated:

The door must not face the elevator, stairs, nor the corridor.
The door facing the elevator or stairs, is a violation.
Good Feng Shui houses have the qi (vibrant or positive energy or life force) gathered and nourished. If the door of the house is now directly opposite the elevator or stairs, then the qi is completely absorbed by them, which can be described as a violation in Feng Shui.
The door facing the corridor is like a sharp sword. The longer the corridor is, the more unfavourable it is for the house. This is called the sword-piercing formation (穿心剑格局).
