Brief Introduction to learning QMDJ

QMDJ stands for Qi Men Dun Jia, literally translated to Mysterious Door in Hiding the Grand Marshall. It’s an ancient Chinese war strategy only used by the emperors, kings, grand marshals, war advisers, chancellors and prime ministers. One of the most notable person is ZhuGe Liang (诸葛亮) in the Three Kingdoms war time. He had used QMDJ very successfully to win almost every battles as written in many ancient books.

The QMDJ study is primarily focused on the 10 Stems, Namely, Jia (Yang Wood), Yi (Yin Wood), Bing (Yang Fire), Ding (Yin Fire), Wu (Yang Earth), Ji (Yin Earth), Geng (Yang Metal), Xin (yin Metal), Ren (Yang Water) and Gui (Yin Water).
We use the stems to perform our analysis in the QM forecasting.
In the QM Forecasting, we use a QM hour chart to forecast any matters an asker wanted to find its possible outcome, problem and solution. A QM hour chart is a chart that plotted out per the time of the day. Once the chart is plotted, we will look for the location of where the Hour Stem and Day Stem move to in the 8 palaces.
Once we determine the location of the Hour Stem and Day Stem, we will then find out the relationship between these two locations of the Hour Stem and Day Stem. There are basically few types of palace relationship:
