As claimed by many Feng Shui masters, we will move into the Period 9 era from 2024 to 2043. At present, we have already at the end of the Period 8 aka Earth Element Period.
The era of reaping huge profits from the real estate is over.So now we are at the beginning of 2022, it is the time to plan ahead and capitalize the Period 9 cycle.What industry opportunities will the Period 9 (Fire Element Period) bring?

1. The rapid development of new energy

The Period 9 directly promotes the rapid development of power, telecommunications, energy, new energy, and other fire-related industries, and the electrical appliances, communications, and Internet industries will penetrate into all aspects of life.

Since the Period 9 is related Fire Element revolution, it can be said that there will be a major innovation and change at all levels of thought, economy, and technology.

In fact, we have been seeing the more and more new energy vehicles and driverless vehicles in the road. For example, the following companies have been actively pursuing in driverless vehicles:
Tesla, Pony.ai, Waymo, Apple, Kia-Hyundai, Ford, Audi, & Huawei.
It is not surprising that Elon R Musk, chief executive of Tesla, has capitalized the Period 9 to become the world richest man with net-worth of $239.3B in 2022.

The new energy vehicles and driverless vehicles have also created a huge market for sales of accessories, after-sales, and software development.

In the era of Period 9, where are the most stable housing prices?
Buying a house is actually an investment in the city’s stocks. Only when the fundamentals of the city continue to rise, will house prices continue to rise accordingly.
Generally, most Feng Shui masters will claim the South locations of a country will enjoy its favourable position in the housing prices’ stability. It is followed by the North locations. However, the investors are still required to study their country economy, policy and the development before making the real estate investment in these locations.
Due to the pandemics, and more demand for Work From Home (WFH), the 2nd and 3rd rated cities will even see the increase in demand during Period 9. This is another reference that you can check it out.

What new features will real estate have in the era of the Period 9?
Specifically, the real estate during the Period 9 will present three major characteristics:1) Real estate is no longer at its golden era.
The era of general housing price increases has passed. The industrial positioning, supply and demand relationship, governmental policy and market structure of the real estate industry will undergo some changes during the Period 9.Although the golden era for real estate has passed, it does not mean the status of real estate as a pillar industry is over. The United States is a good example. It has been going through urbanization for many years, the proportion of real estate in GDP has always remained in the top three position among other industries.

2) There will be no housing price crash.
In view of the importance of real estate itself and the proportion of real estate in the wealth allocation among residents, the rapid decline in housing prices will not occur during the Period 9. Even if there are signs of a slump, a country will introduce various policies to regulate real estate in order to stabilize housing prices.

However, the regulation of real estate is only to stabilize housing prices, and will never let it return to the era of real estate speculation. After all, real estate speculation can only enrich a small number of people. In the long run, it is not good for the healthy and stable development of the entire real estate industry.

3) The head effect is more and more obvious (头部效应愈发明显).
Here are three “one-thirds” of the Period 9 era:

Only 1/3 of developers will survive.
Only 1/3 of cities have investment value.
Only 1/3 of the properties are worth buying.

A long time ago, people didn’t have houses, not because there were too few developers, but because there were too many developers. In particular, there are many small developers. Although small developers have enclosed land, they lack development capabilities, resulting in reduced supply and frequent unfinished housing.
The more developed any industry, the more obvious the head effect. For example, The two giants of Tencent and Alibaba basically control the entire Internet in China; the three giants of Air China, China Eastern Airlines, and China Southern Airlines control the mainstream routes of China’s aviation industry; Small developers are gradually being eliminated by the market. Large developers have abundant funds and strong development capabilities, so the supply will increase accordingly, and consumers will have more choices.

As for 1/3 of the cities with investment value and 1/3 of the real estate worth buying, I have been wondering if it is too optimistic.
Good things are always in short supply, and so are good homes. If in a city, there are one-third of the good houses, it is not easy.
For this point, I will leave it to the readers to find out.

There are 3 reasons why Real Estate Industry will NOT completely decline in the Period 9:
1) The transition from Period 8 to Period 9 is a very slow process and cannot be accomplished overnight.
Only those who really understand the San Yuan (三元) and Jiu Yun (九运) will understand that an industry will go through a life-cycle from beginning to the prosperity, from the prosperity to a steady development, from a steady development to recession, and from recession to rebirth.
And the real estate industry is just like this. From the birth in the Period 7, and reaches its prosperity in the Period 8, there is a high probability that the Period 9 will also have a smooth transition, and it will not turn off overnight as some people might have thought so.

2) The real estate in the Period 9 is still a reliable anti-inflation tool.
When the global real economy is hit hard and the US dollar is issued on a large scale, and real estate is one of the best safe-haven assets.
So far, real estate is still the most trusted collateral for banks. If there is no real estate, banks will have to bear a high risk.

3) In the consumer market, there are still many opportunities in real estate. With the rapid development of science and technology and changes in the family demographics, the residential industry will inevitably be upgraded, and urban commercial real estate will also be upgraded. Smart or Artificial Intelligent homes and high-tech properties will become the new market demand.
Of course, with the development of the market economy, there will be more new gameplays and new concepts to drive the house buyers. However, these gimmicks may essentially be the “old wine in a new bottle (换汤不换药)”. We have to keep our eyes open and avoid falling into these gimmicks (不要被割韭菜).

Feng Shui – Monthly Illness Star 2 in June 2020

The Horse month will arrive on June 5th after 12:58pm. The illness star 2 will be arriving at the East sector. The arrival of this negative illness energy, plus the Yearly Calamity 5 Yellow Star, will further trigger the undesirable illnesses for the residents if the following events happen:

Activities that You Should Not Do:

  1. Renovate at the East sector of your home.
    • It’s always important to find a good time/date to renovate our home. However, if we start the renovation at the wrong time at the negative sector, based on the Flying Star mapping, then undesirable event will happen to the resident or residents inside the house.
  2. Hacking or nailing at the wall at the east sector.
    • Hacking or nailing will activate the Flying Star energy. If it’s a positive energy, the residents will benefit from the activation. The same token applies if we accidentally or intentionally trigger the negative energy. The undesirable outcome will happen to the resident or residents.
  3. Part of the East sector is out-of-gua (violation sector) is activated by energy items.
    • This violation sector is the most vulnerable point or sector in the house, office or building. This violation sector triggers the breakdown of our body immunity or resistance to the attack of the illnesses.
    • This violation sector is usually being overlooked. As suc, the undesirable situation happens and leads to many unhappy event in a family.
  4. The residents of the home have inherent weaknesses in heart, blood related illnesses, liver, brain, and nerves.
    • This potential time-bomb illnesses, can be identified in our date/time of birth. Usually, a professional Bazi or Destiny Analysis consultant can help identify the following
      • area of the illnesses, and
      • when likely the time that the illness will be triggered.

Important Feng Shui Notes

This illness star 2 at the East sector will last till July 6th. Please take note.

On the other hand, although the monthly illness star 2 will last till July 6th at the East sector. It is strongly advised that you should not renovate the East sector this year. This is due to the fact that the Yearly Calamity Star 5, also known as, 5 Yellow is present in the East sector of our home. This Calamity Star is notorious to trigger any negative events that lead to the following:

  • loss of money,
  • loss of relationship,
  • accident, and illness.

Therefore, you are strongly advised to not trigger the very negative energy in your home.

The safest thing to observe or practice is to not do any major thing in the East sector till 2021 Feb 4th. If you have no choice but yet need to renovate the East sector, please get a reputable and reliable Feng Shui consultant. They can help you to avoid the negative energy to be triggered.

The study of Feng Shui focuses on the source of energy flow (Qi) from the mountains and ends at the water-flow/river/sea.  If a property receives the Qi positively, we say the occupants will enjoy the prosperity, longevity or wealthy when they stay at this property for as long as they wanted.  On the other hands, it is also true that if a property receives the negative Qi or stagnant Qi, the occupants will suffer losses, damages, illness or bad events.  To know whether your home will receive positive or negative Qi, you need to seek for the help of a qualified Feng Shui Consultant.

What is Qi really about?  The Qi is about the study of Feng Shui.  Feng, literally translated from Chinese as Wind while Shui as Water.  Qi can be generated from the mountains or hills primarily while it’s bounded near the river, sea, pond, or lake.  In fact, the study of Feng Shui is about the study of environment, which consists of mountains, hills, trees, plants, buildings, sea, rivers, lakes, ponds, roads, highways, railways, swamps, swimming pools, etc.

Columbarium Feng Shui

A columbarium is a place for the respectful and usually public storage of cinerary urns. The term comes from the Latin columba and originally referred to compartmentalised housing for doves and pigeons called a dovecote – Wikipedia.

With the scarcity of land and environmental concern with traditional land burial plot during memorial services, the columbarium is gaining its popularity in Asia countries, especially Singapore, Hong Kong, certain areas in Malaysia or highly populated cities.  What about the columbarium Feng Shui?  How does it differ from the normal land burial plot Feng Shui?  

Generally the columbarium Feng Shui is quite similar to land burial lot Feng Shui.  Both follow the general principles in Feng Shui that focus on the surrounding environment. Environment that comes with good landform in general gives rise to better energy field as compared to those packed in the buildings in the vicinity of a city or industrial area.

The positive energy field in the good natural landform will benefit the descendants, and some will last for few generations!  On the other hand, with the presence of the negative energy field, the descendants are usually having harder time to achieve their successes in life.  

Although it’s important to find a good natural landform, it’s also equally important to ensure the location and facing of the lot in the columbarium is suitable for the deceased. This practice is similar to the land burial plot that its location and facing of the tomb stone must be suitable for the deceased.  As a Feng Shui practitioner, one will determine the facing of the lot in the columbarium based on the deceased’s year of birth and the nearest incoming mountain that emanates the energy field. 

In addition, the surrounding left and right supporting structures are also considered. It’s always better to have the left and right supporting structures with mountains or natural landform.  It’s believed the columbarium will benefit the most with the energy being well circulated and kept by these supporting structures!

Different external environments using different Feng Shui techniques

As written in my previous post, selecting a lucky day is a very important exercise as it helps you to get what you want, when you want, how you want and with who you want!  Selecting this special day requires few information about yourself, where you live and what you really want to achieve.  Many business tycoons, politicians, celebrities and entrepreneurs have been getting the help of Feng Shui masters, Astrologists or Chinese Metaphysics guru for selecting a so-called lucky day for their important projects, activities or battles!

Let’s talk about examples of the date: 2018/April/10 10.00am.  This timing can be translated into Chinese 4 pillars of destiny code (Bazi) as Figure 1.

After looking for the real water and mountain, we will then identify any inauspicious structures that could give rise to undesirable energy (qi) to the premises and its residents.  The inauspicious structures can be one of the following:

  • Pylon
  • Transmission tower or pole
  • Relatively large piece of sharp edge pointing towards the main entrance
  • Rubbish dumped site
  • Septic tank
  • Strong odor site
  • and few others

 

Once we have determined what are existent in the premise surrounding, we will then decide what Feng Shui Technique(s) to apply for making both the external environment and the premises co-exist harmoniously.  There are total of 6 violation rules we need to ensure the premises do not face to or place to.  The 1st major violation rule is the door/main entrance facing and the incoming/outgoing water (real or imaginary) must not cover the entire 45 degrees of anyone of the 8 major sectors (Gua 卦).  In identifying the facing direction of one door/main entrance, we can divide the entire 360 degrees into 24 minor sectors (or also known as 24 “Mountains 山” in Feng Shui terminology).  Each minor sector or “Mountain” is equal to 15 degrees (= 360 degrees / 24).  1 major sector consists of 3 minor sectors (or also known as 1 Gua governed 3 “Mountains” in Feng Shui terminology).  Refer to Figure 3 for further illustration.

We can then look into more detail of how the 1st major violation rule can be evaluated.  For example, a house that has a door facing of E2 leaning towards E3 as show in the Figure 4 below:

The Figure 4 clearly shows an example of how the 1st major violation rule being evaluated and quantified. The real or imaginary incoming water comes from E1 direction with respect to the door or main entrance, quantified that the door/main entrance facing and the incoming/outgoing water (real or imaginary) have covered the entire 45 degrees of anyone of the 8 major sectors (Gua 卦).  In this case, the East Gua or Zhen (震) Gua governed the E1, E2 and E3 are all related in the door/main entrance facing with the incoming water.

This violation may lead to possible (1) lack of children or children fall sick easily, (2) loss of wealth or money opportunities or (3) accident resulted in hand or leg injuries.

The other 5 violation rules will be published in future posts.

Once we can ascertain the premises do not violate anyone of these 6 rules, we will then apply anyone or few of the 10 auspicious structures or rules to tap the external energy (qi) to benefit the residents of the premises.  The 1st rule is based on the pairing of either the incoming mountain with the house sitting OR water exit with the house facing.  The pairing must obey the following criteria: E1-NE1; E2-NE2; E3-NE3; and etc..
